6/17/22 LEO-GLAM Bargaining Recap

Our June 17th session featured lengthy conversations about budgets and costing. At the end of the day, administration gave us a counter proposal on salary that was only $33,000 higher (for all three years of the contract!) than their last offer. While this is a discouraging amount of movement, administration also clearly indicated that it is not the full amount they are authorized to offer us. Translation: there is more money on the table if we are willing to fight for it.

Regarding professional development, we are waiting for additional information on past professional development expenditures before we bring any further counters to the table. Administration claims they are unable to provide detailed accounting of past expenditures, but we believe such information is available and necessary for ensuring forward movement.

We wish you a meaningful commemoration of Juneteenth, and look forward to seeing you at Bargaining again on Friday!
