4/15/22 LEO-GLAM Bargaining Recap
Our April 15th session featured packages galore, and a high score for the number of TAs in one day. While we continue to make progress on reaching TAs, there are still many significant issues on the table.
In the morning, administration gave us a package of two articles on topics of great importance to you, our members—”Appointments & Annual Reviews,” and “Promotion of LACs.” We have spent a considerable amount of time discussing these topics at the table, in small groups, and in caucus. While administration is making movement in response to our testimony, we still see several areas in both proposals that give us cause for concern. For example, administration has reinserted language about LACs who are ineligible for promotion, and has rejected key elements of our promotion proposal regarding the composition of an appropriate Promotion Review Committee.
We are still waiting for administration to respond to our large economic proposals that include Professional Development and Salary which we passed on February 18th.
