What is your area of specialty?

The crossroads of art, design, and nature and sustainability.

I currently have a solo exhibition, “Connatural,” at the Matthei Botanical Gardens, UM-Ann Arbor, which explores the intersection of art, science, and design. It is on display through Sunday, April 30th, 2023.

What are you proud of as a lecturer?

I'm proud to be part of such an amazing team of educators.

Also, in 2017 I won a Transforming Learning for the Third Century Initiative grant from U of M to design her own course “Florilegium: A Plant Compendium”.  It is an interdisciplinary course that includes field and studio exploration of plants as a study of science and art. Students work with scientists, book artists, special collections at the library and with herbarium faculty.

What is something that you are proud of outside of your role as a lecturer?

The over all "greening" of my creative practice and making my own paints from plants. My processes keep getting more and more eco-friendly and that feels really good.

What might others not know about you?

I was an All-State Third baseman in high school.
