Lecturer II

What is your area of specialty?

Freshman level mathematics courses.

What are you proud of as a lecturer?

Receiving the Collegiate Lectureship award, and also receiving two Most Valuable Professor awards as selected by student athletes. Receiving positive feedback from both colleagues and students is very rewarding and reinforces my desire to work hard and provide the best learning experience for my students.

What might others not know about you?

My family and I have a long and varied history with UM-D, starting with my uncle who was in one of the first graduating classes (1963); my niece attended on a volleyball scholarship; my nephew was the manager of the first-ever men’s baseball team at UM-D; my cousin graduated from UM-D; and I have been teaching here since 1998, and my wife, Indu, has been teaching here since 2012.
