United Teachers Los Angeles are currently in their second week of an ongoing strike in the fight for smaller class sizes, more nurses and counselors, a fair wage, and accountability for charter schools. UTLA reported progress at the bargaining table over the weekend, but members were still posted at picket lines this morning (Tuesday 1/22).  #redfored#utlastrong

We all remember how intense and difficult this moment in contract negotiations can be. Show support for our colleagues in Los Angeles with one or more of the following actions:

Tell LAUSD superintendent Austin Beutner to quit stalling and reach an agreement with LA’s teachers.

Funds go directly to providing help with resources like child care and meals, among many others. To mail a check, make payable to "ACCE Action" (ACCE is a community organization coordinating with UTLA), and write in the memo line "LA Teacher/Parent Strike Solidarity Fund." Mail to:

ACCE, 3655 Grand Avenue, Suite 250, Los Angeles, CA 90007
